Apple – known for its notorious secrecy and master marketing strategies – is expected to refresh its premium branded iPhone soon and no matter how hard it tries to keep its plans guarded behind closed doors, some information is bound to leak through the cracks. With the upcoming iPhone launch event set for September – keeping up with old traditions – for the new generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and several reports surfacing with minor discrepancies, the industry has a gist of what to expect so far.
Leak after leak have shared many expectations helping us to paint a better picture for the upcoming market-topping smartphones. However, some questions still exist that have yet to be answered, as new leaked photos of the next-gen iPhone doesn’t solve the biggest mystery left.
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 models will apparently have designs much similar to the latest smartphones, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. While sporting new antenna designs with better finesse than in the predecessors, the two new smartphones will also be thinner. People around the industry are expecting two novel camera setups; the bigger iPhone 7 Plus to house a brand new dual-lens camera technology while the iPhone 7 to receive a single upgraded camera. Neither model would have the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack but they would house powerful internals and significant performance upgrades.
However, it is important to remember that these are based on reports, leaks, rumors and speculation; none of these have been confirmed by Apple and may be inaccurate. There has been consistency in most of the leaks but one of the biggest mysteries that consumers are interested in is the color. Apple is expected to introduce a new color for its smartphone line this year.
Since iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models looked exactly like their predecessors, the company introduced a new rose gold color to help boost sales. The rose gold color has been highly popular in the markets. In 2016 – with not massive changes coming to the product line – it is possible that a new color, possibly even more attractive than the rose gold, is on its way.
Previous rumors suggested that the company is adding a novel Space Black color to its iPhone lineup in 2016. While mockups of the new generation black iPhone looked pretty swell, it doesn’t exactly go hand-in-hand with the more recent rumor of a new blue color being added to the iPhone 7 models.
Now, a new set of photos presented by the Twitter user, The Malignant, in two tweets show mockups of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models in the blue color. The latest leaks depict a grayish blue color that look like something Apple would cover its precious iPhones in, in contrast to the deep blue color suggested in earlier reports.
Apple has scheduled a press conference for September 7 and people are almost certain that this is where the so-called iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will be unveiled. The phones will most likely be available for preorders on September 9 prior to the actual release on September 16.
