We peeked into the latest gameplay video released for Final Fantasy XV and have nothing but praises for how the game feels and looks so far. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, then you also must have come across several elements that have been taken from the past games in the franchise, such as the draw and hunt system. But did you know that there are Knights of the Round in the game as well?
So far we have only come across the summons Leviathan, Ramuh, and Titan, and not the Knights of the Round. We always wanted them to be available at some point in the game, because the weapons that Noctis uses are the ones the Knights of the Round used. However, it seems they won’t be a part of summoning, but will play a major role in the game.
If you checked out the recently-released hour-long video of Final Fantasy XV, you would know that Cor invited Noctis and his gang to a tomb where Noctis was supposed to gain some kind of power, mostly a weapon. Once they exit the tomb after gaining a new weapon, Cor tells Noctis that there are 13 tombs in the world, which he needs to visit to become powerful. Let us remind you that there are a total of 13 knights in Knights of the Round, and the conversation that Noctis had with Cor points to their tombs.
Cor also reminds Noctis that the tombs belong to his ancestors, meaning Noctis is a descendant of Knights of the Round, and therefore has the ability to use their weapons in battles. Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio have no relation with the Knights of the Round in any way, and so have their own weapons and abilities.
Let us know if you found out something hidden in the gameplay footage of the game that we have somehow missed. Final Fantasy XV will release on November 29, instead of September 30, so we ask all players to hold their horses a little more!
