The Pokemon Company released a Japanese trailer earlier on for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and now we have an English trailer. There isn’t any difference between the two, but we see more battle animations and Pokemon in the recent one.
The trailer shows Team Skull, a new group of antagonists, set out on causing destruction. The admin of the gang is Plumeri, and the leader is Guzma. By the looks of it, they are carrying Psychic and Ghost-Type Pokemon with them, making a perfect relation to the types of critters and the name of the organization.
We also see Morelull, Wishiwashi, and Pyukumuku as new Pokemon added to Generation VII. Wishiwashi is the only critter that seems like a well thought-out design for a Pokemon out of the three mentioned above, and is definitely a great asset if you need a good Water-Type critter. Although all pocket monsters haven’t been released for Generation VII yet, Pyukumuku is one of the few Pokemon we hardly think would be on anyone’s list of favorites.
Three new Alolan transformations of Generation I Pokemonm are also shown. In the Alola region, we have Alolan Meowth, Alolan Marowak, and Alolan Raichu. From these, only Alolan Raichu seems to be an interesting Pokemon, with it standing on its tail as if it was surfing the waves of Alola. This is one critter we will surely be having in our party.
The English trailer honestly didn’t give us anything new except for the English dialogues being spoken by Team Skull. If The Pokemon Company wants to release details on Pokemon Sun and Moon for both Japanese and English audiences, it should do it on the exact same day.
Although it’s good to see both these games having a wide variety of new Pokemon to catch, especially that cute little Alolan Raichu, Pokemon Sun and Moon has eliminated gym battles, and instead, put the Island Challenge. As there are a total of four islands to explore in the Alola region, you would have to take on four Kahunas of each island. This makes us think that the game might not be as long as we are thinking it to be. Where you had to challenge eight gym leaders to collect badges, you would now need to beat four specific people and get a pass to visit the next island. But then again, we don’t know yet how big each island is.
Pokemon Sun and Moon will be out in November, and so The Pokemon Company needs to release all the critters we’ll get to see in the two games. We will surely get both of them because of the exclusive legendary critters. What about you? Let us know in the comments below.
