Dissidia Final Fantasy gets a new dose of character overhaul in the looks department, thanks to Square Enix. The new look has been taken from previous games. Some characters look amazing, while others just not that cool. These outfits will be part of the update set to release for the game on August 18.
There are a total of 18 playable characters in Dissidia Final Fantasy, including the recently added Kain Highwind. Here’s a list of the characters along with names of their new outfits.
- Warrior of Light – “Warrior of the Beginning”
- Garland – “Thirsty Veteran Warrior”
- Firion – “Uprising Rebel”
- Onion Knight – “Sword Wielder”
- Cecil Harvey – “Remake Style”
- Bartz Klauser – “Freelancer”
- Terra Branford – “Maiden of Kindness”
- Cloud Strife – “Cloudy Wolf and Fusion Sword”
- Squall Leonhart – “SeeD Uniform”
- Zidane Tribal – “Knights of Pluto Disguise”
- Tidus – “Zanarkand Uniform”
- Shantotto – “Commonwealth Director Coat”
- Vaan – “Tribal Hero”
- Lightning Farron – “Goddess Knight and Overture”
- Y’shtola – “Psions Healer and True Seeker”
- Ramza Beoulve – “Truth-Seeking Mercenary”
- Kefka Palazzo – “Strange Turban”
- Kain Highwind – “Purged Dragoon”
If we had to choose the most amazing look, it would have to be the “Purged Dragoon” outfit of Kain Highwind. Some of these alternate looks make us nostalgic, such as Zidane’s “Knights of Pluto Disguise” and Terra’s “Maiden of Kindness.” Although it is a bit disappointing to not see Lightning in her “Lightning Returns” outfit, “Goddess Knight and Overture” seems to be more suitable for this game.
A PlayStation 4 release date for the game has still not been announced, so a release after the 2017 E3 looks probable. The game is missing a lot of characters at the moment, mainly villains. Square Enix has announced that it will be revealing a new character for the game never seen before in previous Dissidia titles. It will release on August 27, so keep an eye on that. We hope it’s Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, as the game is releasing by the end of September.
