It’s been recently reported that the 2TB Launch Edition of Xbox One S is now all sold out. So, if you were in the market for a 2TB Xbox One S that is 40% smaller, offers HDR, 4K video playback, along with all the bells and whistles, then you’re out of luck. You may still be able to get the original Xbox One consoles that are on firesale prices and that too if you find one in stock; spending $249 for Xbox One seen on launch back in November 2013 appears to be a good deal.
According to Eurogamer, Microsoft doesn’t have any plans to ship more of those white Xbox One S consoles that we all have wanted to get our hands on. You may find them at inflated prices on Amazon or eBay, but we suggest holding off on it. The differences between the original and Xbox One S aren’t that major that we may start losing our sleep and hard-earned cash on it. For more on whether the white Xbox One S is worth buying at launch or not, read our opinion here.
At the end of the day, there will be more Xbox One S consoles coming as Microsoft is phasing out the launch models and replacing them with the new smaller ones. This way, you can be rest assured that the next Microsoft gaming console you buy in coming six months or so will most likely be Xbox One S. And if you can wait till next year, you can get the Scorpio that should be the most powerful console ever made. Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, mentioned in a tweet that Scorpio and its games are in development stage.
@truexboxfann Yes, hardware, platform and games.

The kind of games hinted in Mr. Spencer’s tweet will be the same that you can play on the regular Xbox One and Xbox One S, but would be optimized for Scorpio. So far it hasn’t been announced to receive exclusive titles, but at least you can enjoy epic gaming experience with 4K graphics, a major step up from regular HD 1080p.
Either way, Xbox One S Launch Edition consoles are all sold out and we would advise gamers to wait for two bundles set to release later this month or perhaps the Scorpio next year.
