Square Enix’s upcoming RPG, World of Final Fantasy, is now getting three new support characters in addition to the ones we have already seen in the game’s trailers. Say hello to Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI, and Bartz and Boko from Final Fantasy V, all of whom were revealed in the latest edition of Famitsu.
We have not seen any of these characters in the trailers for the game, so we hope to see them soon. In case you don’t know, Boko is a chocobo and a very close friend of Bartz’s, the main protagonist of Final Fantasy V. Terra Brandford is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy VI, and a girl who is quite suspicious of anyone who tries to control her in an attempt to gain access to her powers. She is also no ordinary person, as she has the power of an Esper and can pretty much destroy anything with it.
In addition, we have come across a total of 20 mirages by now, with Square Enix keeping us engaged. Each week we tend to have a look at four to eight mirages, and judging by the amount of monsters they have available in the game, it will still be some time before we get to see and know all of them.
World of Final Fantasy truly looks like an amazing game, and a breath of fresh air for the franchise as Square Enix has taken a completely new direction with regard to its spin-offs, such as Dissidia Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Fables. This is a game clearly being developed for those who are not familiar with the series and want to understand its mainstream characters.
World of Final Fantasy is set to release on October 25 for both, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The PS4 version will cost $59.99, while the PS Vita version will be available for $39.99. We are excited about this game. Are you? Let us know your thoughts on the game.
