Square Enix’s upcoming chibi RPG, World of Final Fantasy, has received new trailers for four new mirages — raising the trailer count to 20 now. Baby Behemoth, Fenrir, Doukobito and Sharksame are a part of the game now.
Behemoths have always been a part of the Final Fantasy universe ever since the second mainstream game of the series. They are foes of the highest rank one should not go up against if they think these huge monsters are slow and weak. In World of Final Fantasy, however, we seem to have gotten the baby version of a Behemoth i.e. Baby Behemoth. This little critter can deal a lot of damage despite its size.
Fenrir has been a summon, and also sometimes an enemy faced, in the Final Fantasy series. Fenrir is a reliable wolf that is sure to help you defeat monsters with high defense. We have yet to see a baby form of this mirage so players might as well just catch the full-grown wolf in the game.
Doukobito is a mirage we are seeing for the first time in the Final Fantasy franchise. From the looks of it, Doukobito reminds us of the Pokémon Graveler — who is a Rock-Type critter. Our friend here as well seems like a rock elemental mirage because of the battle animation we see in the trailer. At this point we can’t say much about it so let's just wait for Square Enix to release more information on Doukobito.
Sharksame is another mirage we are seeing debut in the Final Fantasy franchise. It is a shark of the water element and hence deals water-based attacks. If this mirage evolves be sure to expect a bad to the bone evolution. He reminds us a lot of the shark in the movie The Shallows, but a much more friendlier version of it.
So far we have received trailers for 20 mirages for the game and are sure to get many more before the game releases. We still need to have a look at the mirages that will evolve and those that won’t. Shiva and Ifrit are said to have a three-stage evolution, making them bigger and stronger every time they evolve. Let’s wait for Square Enix to release more information on the game.
