Greetings Guardians! We hope that the raiding and adventuring is going well. You are no doubt excited about the upcoming Rise of Iron Expansion, but there’s still time for that. However, Xur, the mysterious trader has returned and he has some great Exotic items in stock which you can enjoy . Let us help you find this wandering merchant and discuss the contents of his inventory.
This week, Xur can be found in the Reef Social Area of the game. The exotic weapon for this week is the Invective Shotgun, which is one of the best in its class. This shotgun provides a high level of stability and regenerating ammo, which is useful as the gun has a relatively small clip size. This awesome weapon will set you back 17 Strange Coins (SC).
Coming to the class-specific gear, here’s what each of the three classes of players can expect. For Hunters, Xur is selling the Exotic leg armor called Bones of Eao. This armor contains bone parts, and looks visceral and primal. It allows maneuverability by adding another jump to the Double Jump ability, and offers any one of three perks through Random Selection.
Warlocks get to look regal and stylish with the Voidfang Vestments, which is a beautiful chest armor, and offers the Hungering Void perk. It is excellent for Warlocks who prefer the use of grenades, especially the Axion Bolt. Meanwhile, Titans can buy the Exotic helmet called Helm of Saint-14, which provides considerable defense and looks quite menacing. The primary perk is called Starless Night, which adds a blinding effect to your Ward of Dawn, making it ideal for Titans playing in the Defender sub-class. Each of the class-specific Exotic items costs 13 SC.
Additionally, players can pick up Exotic Legacy Helmet Engrams if they can spare 29 SC. Xur is also selling the usual trinkets, such as Glass Needles, and Three of Coins.
In related Destiny news, it seems Xbox players have once again been left out from some of the game’s content, and will have to wait at least until fall of next year. Thanks to a special agreement between Sony and Activision, Destiny has always featured Playstation-Exclusive content, and Xbox players usually have to wait a year until it is available to them. Not only is this expected to happen again when Rise of Iron releases in September, Xbox players will not even get the PS-Exclusive content from last year’s expansion, The Taken King, which has also been delayed to late 2017.
