Square Enix has definitely been busy with Final Fantasy XV, but the hour-long footage of the game tells us exactly why. The game has been delayed till November 29 now. And the gameplay video tells us exactly why.
The game starts off with a vague intro that somehow leads us into what we will get to see at the end of the game. The intro though comes to an abrupt end and we get to see the beginning of the game: Noctis and the gang are having some trouble on the road and their car breaks down. The mess seems to be caused by none other than our favorite character, Prompto. If you have played Episode Duscae then you would know how it all took place.
The footage mainly focuses on the gameplay of Final Fantasy XV, which seems to have been improvised after Platinum Demo. You can now issue orders to your teammates as well, but only if you fill up a bar that lets you order them around. Noctis can equip weapons such as crossbows, shields and shurikens, while the others can only use weapons that go with their style i.e. Gladio cannot use guns and Ignis cannot equip heavy swords.
Seriously the footage looks too good to be true! The game surely has one of the best graphics we have seen this year. Paired with an immersive storyline, mesmerizing music, and solid gameplay — we just can't wait to play the game. Old and new fans of the series can rest easy knowing that Final Fantasy XV is a game being developed for all kinds of players and not just typical RPG lovers.
We believe Final Fantasy XV is getting delayed because of the drop in framerates. There were drops when the player entered an area filled with tons of monsters, meaning rendering wasn’t as fast as it should have been. Nevertheless, it’s good to see that Square Enix is working on every aspect of the title so that a patch is not needed after the game's release.
