With 18 quintillion planets, No Man’s Sky is one massive game that will easily take several lifetimes to complete. We are hoping that we can get even a better experience when the PS4 Neo drops.
While speaking to the Daily Star, Hello Games founder Sean Murray said that powerful hardware doesn’t only upgraded textures or a higher frame rate, it means a drastic change in experience. This can be seen from the patch, where the developers were able to change a lot of things in the universe. Also with more powerful hardware, “density or immersion of worlds, or new types of worlds could exist.”
So if you decide to sweat the cash for PS4 Neo, then you can expect No Man’s Sky to be an even “out of this world” experience than it already is. Mr. Murray seems quite excited about the possibilities that Neo offers and we are also eagerly waiting to see what his team comes up with when the upgraded PS4 arrives. Mr. Murray is looking for a much better experience on the Neo version than what regular HD re-masters of past titles on the PS4 offer.
If you want a taste of what the Neo offers, it would be best to wait to for the PC version, which is still in the works. While talking to The Daily Star, Mr. Murray clarified the game’s PC version will release on August 12 worldwide. He also said that the company is working hard on its and doing all it can to make it the best version. He apologized for the confusion caused and said that there isn’t any conspiracy, as they have to add some “extra options and stuff.”
There are reasons we have to be tight lipped at times. I'm sorry for the confusion caused :(
