Pokemon Go, the augmented reality mobile title has taken the world by storm. Developed by Niantic, the company behind Ingress, the game brings the generation-long franchise, Pokemon into real life with features such as catching Pokemon and battling with them at Gyms. The game, however, has more potential and with the help of players it can be perfected without much hassle.
One of the most important elements of the game is Gym battling, where players take their six best Pokemon into battle with members of other teams. The winner takes control of the Gym and keeps one Pokemon to defend it against future attacks.
To attack all a player has to do is tap constantly and hold occasionally for special attacks. Another element apart from tapping is dodging. Swiping to the right or left allows your Pokemon to avoid oncoming attacks and damage. However, the most difficult part is timing. Don’t worry, a YouTube channel by the name of Trainer Tips has some tips and tricks to help you better understand the dodging mechanics. Check out the video below for more details.
According to the video, you can easily dodge every single hit if your timing is right. For that, you need to look out for a warning (the yellow flashing lights). These flashes indicate that your opponent is about to attack. So, just swipe left or right whenever that light flashes.
Also, since the opponent Pokemon is controlled by an AI, the rate at which it attacks is fixed. AI-controlled Pokemon in Gyms will attack after every two seconds with the exception of two back-to-back attacks at the very beginning of the battle. So, dodge twice as soon as you initiate any battle.
We believe an all-new update is just around the corner, so stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, let us know what you think about Pokemon Go in the comments below. Did the game manage to meet your expectations?
