Although Pokémon Shuffle is available on 3DS it does not have the 3D feature enabled. The Hearts system is also a bit off-putting as you need to give it a good 30 minutes to rejuvenate. And then there are microtransactions as well, which seem to take away the whole fun of the game. You can easily go through nearly every level by just using abilities bought through microtransactions. In-app purchases don’t go well with every freemium game and that is something every developer should keep in mind.
Puzzle games are a great way to please fans of any genre, but put it in a theme with a wrong game and you might annoy many followers of a franchise. Pokémon Shuffle, on the other hand, is an excellent way to learn more about critters. Pick up the game and give it a go. Who knows you might get hooked to it.
