Samsung recently unveiled the latest model of its much-famed phablet series, the Galaxy Note 7. The handset was announced at a launch event in the US on August 2. That said, it was not made available for pre-orders in the company’s homeland, South-Korea, until August 6. When the pre-orders opened, South-Koreans were anxiously waiting for the device, as the number of booked devices broke all records set by prior Galaxy devices, reported PhoneArena.
According to the publication, a report from Samsung’s native country revealed that there have been more than 200,000 units pre-ordered in just two days. It seems that South-Koreans prefer big screens and stylus-laden devices, as this figure is exactly the half the number of Galaxy S7 devices preoordered, when it was launched back in March.
The latest Galaxy S devices have not only helped surge Samsung’s profits, but have also proved to be one of the best devices of the year in several reviews. If this is the case, Galaxy Note 7 will surely enjoy a similar position, or might even unseat its predecessors, S7 and S7 Edge.
From the ultra-fast processors to the improved interface, build and design to bigger battery and newly-added features; everything is remarkable about S7, S7 Edge, and Note 7.
We believe the Galaxy Note 7 is one of the best phablets available in the market. New features such as improved S-Pen and an Iris Scanner, explain why so many users want it. These are not the only reasons as according to the publication, there are added incentives for booking the latest Note device.
The latest activity tracker by the company, Gear Fit 2, which is worth $177 comes for free if the Note 7 is pre-ordered. The device sports Gorilla Glass 5 on front, but Samsung knows that there is always a danger of the display getting damaged. This is why users who pre-order, receive a 50 percent discount in repair charges, whenever the screen breaks. They also get a $90 gift card that can be utilized at the Samsung Pay Mall.
Other than this, users have the option to experience the device at 2800 ‘experience zones’ throughout South-Korea; which is definitely a catch for many as the device is not another budget smartphone, and users need to shell out around $895 to buy it.
Similar incentives are also available in the US. Users buying from Verizon or Sprint, get either a Gear Fit 2 for free or the 256GB SD card. AT&T offer similar bonus, and allows users choose between Gear S2 free or get the Galaxy Tab E for $0.99 on a two-year contract. T-Mobile offers same bonus, with an added option to choose from a Free one year Netflix card. BestBuy and Sam’s Club also offer the option to choose between Free Gear Fit 2 or 256GB card.
Prices and payments methods differ, but we believe Samsung Note 7 will really hit new records in terms of sales, considering the specs, features, and the complimentary items that come with the device.
