With the recent trailers of four new mirages being introduced in World of Final Fantasy, we now get to have a look at two limited edition PlayStation Vita models releasing in Japan only; thanks to the collaboration between Square Enix and Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia. Yes, the two models will not be made available in West.
The Glacier White Primero model and the Black Oobito model are namely the two variants announced; former has Warrior of Light, Cloud Strife, Lightning, and Terra engraved on the handheld’s rear touchpad. Whereas the Oobito model has Reynn and Lann, the two main protagonists of World of Final Fantasy, engraved at the back. There is also some text written on the rear touchpad that reads: “Just beyond this light lies another world called Grymoire.”
Both these editions will also include a World of Final Fantasy PS Vita theme, which makes the whole bundle worth the buy. At the lock screen you will see a number of mirages, along with famous Final Fantasy characters, such as Vivi and Yuna, from the series’ mainstream games. And let’s not forget to mention summons such as Valefor from Final Fantasy X, and Bahamut will also share your lock screen.
Each of these models will cost 20,980 Yen (plus tax) or approximately $207, and will be made available the same day in Japan as of the game’s launch, which is October 27. It is important to note that none of them will house the game, so players would need to buy it separately. In addition to that, there will not be any memory card packed with the bundle, so you better prepare to keep some extra cash in this regard. Pre-orders for both the bundles have already started at Sony Store in Japan.
For North America, World of Final Fantasy will release on October 25 for both the PS4 and PSVita. The PS4 version will cost $59.99, whereas the PS Vita version will be available for $39.99. Let us know in the comments, if you’re going to get this epic fantasy adventure game. We, for one, are getting it on the first day of its release.
